I’m on the island of O’ahu. Sitting on a sea wall on the East side of the island. This is where I take my favourite palm tree photo (peep my prints!). My best friends Ryley & Rosalie are about to say “I do.” My own soon-to-be bride, Caroline, is a bridesmaid (the gorgeous girl in pink). In May of 2023 I flew to Hawai’i to help Caroline move back with me to Australia. But we timed it perfectly to be part of the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever witnessed. Rarely have I seen such a combination of colour, community, and intentionality. Rosalie asked a number of her friends to document her most perfect day – and they did a smashing job! I wasn’t there in any official capacity, but for the joy of shooting I dragged along a number of my cameras & just hung out behind the scenes. I got so carried away with shooting that I ended up reaching into my reserve for an expired roll of Ilford FP4 for the medium format. The rest was shot on Portra 400 & the rehearsal dinner shot on Ilford Delta 100. Mahalo nui!
